Dahl class (Y3/4)
We cannot believe we are in the last half term of this school year, doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!
We are continuing with our topic, ‘Journeys’ and this half term we will be learning about Volcanoes and Mountains. We have already begun by looking at some recent volcano eruptions in Hawaii and Guatemala and the children have written some great newspaper reports about how people have been affected. They were all fascinated to see what a real eruption looks like and learn why they happen.
In Maths we are learning about money, capacity and volume and will be revisiting the written methods for the four operations.
In R.E. the children will be answering the question. ‘How do believers show commitment during the journey of life?’
Rehearsals for the play have begun and the songs are getting stuck in our heads. The children have started making props and it promises to be a show to remember!
